Take command of your membershipinstead of chasing it
Members, dues, events, email, and your member portal — running as one system. Member Commander collects renewals on its own, issues wallet cards that never expire on paper, and hands your board numbers they can actually read.
Connects with the tools you already run on
Membership work isn't hard. The tools you were handed are.
Most organizations we meet lose 15–20% of their members a year to nothing more dramatic than a renewal notice that never got sent.
The roster nobody trusts
Three spreadsheets, two of them named FINAL, and a membership count that changes depending on who you ask.
Renewal season as a fire drill
Six weeks of manual invoices, reminder emails written one at a time, and checks reconciled by hand.
Software from another decade
A legacy AMS you signed a three-year contract for, priced per module, that your volunteers refuse to log into.
Knowledge that walks out the door
Every board turnover loses the one person who knew how the system worked. Nothing is documented.
Four systems most organizations run separately. One place here.
No add-on modules, no per-feature pricing, no third integration to keep in sync at 11pm before a board meeting.
Every member, one honest record
Segments that build themselves, custom fields for how your organization actually works, and a full history on every profile — payments, events, emails, logins.
- Smart segments update as members change
- Unlimited custom fields and member types
- Household, company, and multi-seat plans
Twelve capabilities. One price. No modules.
Every one of these is switched on from the moment you create an account. There is no tier that unlocks them and no add-on that sells your renewal reminders back to you.

The part your members actually remember
Registration, member pricing, badges, and a check-in desk that moves. Everything that happens at the door flows straight back onto the member record.
- Nine-second check-in
- Scan a wallet pass or search a name. Any phone works as a scanner — no rented hardware, no app install for members.
- Member pricing that applies itself
- Members see their rate, non-members see theirs, and lapsed members see a renew-and-save prompt at checkout.
- Attendance feeds retention
- Who came, who skipped, who brought a guest — all on the profile, and all usable as a segment next renewal season.
Live in under two weeks, not two quarters
No implementation consultant, no six-figure onboarding project, no year-one discovery phase.
Import your members
Upload a CSV or hand us an export from Wild Apricot, MemberClicks, Join It, or a folder of spreadsheets. We map the fields and show you a preview before anything is saved.
Connect payments & tools
Link Stripe in two clicks — existing subscriptions keep running. Sync QuickBooks, your email tool, and your website widgets from the same setup checklist.
Launch to your members
Send the portal invitation. Members set a password, get their wallet card, and renew themselves from then on. You watch it happen from the dashboard.

Numbers your board can read without a translator
Retention, churn, revenue by tier, and what's up for renewal next quarter — on one page you can email before the meeting instead of rebuilding every month.
- Scheduled board reports
- A monthly PDF and summary email that sends itself to whoever needs it. Nobody has to remember on the first Monday.
- Cohort retention, not vibes
- See exactly which join year, tier, or chapter is leaking members — and what it costs you annually.
- Every figure exportable
- One click to CSV for the treasurer, the auditor, or the grant application. Your data is never held hostage.
Configured for how your organization actually works
Chapters, patron tiers, seasons, committees, or a straightforward roster of dues-paying members — set up on day one, not bolted on in year two.
Organizations that stopped fighting their software
Associations, chambers, clubs, museums, and nonprofits running their entire membership operation on Member Commander.
We moved 3,400 members over a weekend and sent our first automated renewal series on Monday. Renewal rate went from 71% to 88% in one cycle.

I inherited a shoebox of checks and a spreadsheet with four tabs named 'FINAL'. Now dues just arrive and I get a monthly summary I forward to the board.

Directory upgrades pay for the platform four times over. Members can see their own listing traffic, so renewal is an easy conversation.

Wallet passes ended the 'is this person still a member?' question at our front desk. Front-of-house scans, sees green, moves on.

The chapter rollup is the thing. Fourteen chapters, one report, and no more asking regional volunteers to send me a spreadsheet.

Support answered on a Sunday during our conference. That alone was worth switching for.

What you give up by staying put
Most organizations we talk to are on a legacy AMS they signed for three years, or a spreadsheet-and-form-tool stack held together by one very patient volunteer.
| Member Commander | Legacy AMS | Spreadsheets + Forms | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Time to go live | Under 2 weeks | 3–6 months | Already live, already painful |
| Renewals | Fully automated with dunning | Automated, extra module | Manual reminders |
| Cost to start | $0 — free, no card | $3k–$20k/year up front | Free-ish, then your weekends |
| What you pay | Up to 3%, only on revenue you collect | Annual licence whether you use it or not | Per-form and per-payment fees |
| Digital member cards | Included, wallet-native | Add-on or none | Not possible |
| Data migration | Included, free | $5k–$25k project | Copy and paste |
| Contract | None — leave any time | Annual, auto-renewing | None |
Free to use. You only pay when you get paid.
No subscription, no per-member fee, no tiers to compare. We take a share of what you collect — never more than 3% — and nothing at all in a quarter where you collect nothing.
Free to use
Every feature, every member, every admin seat.
No subscription, no setup fee, no per-seat charge, no minimum. Nothing is locked behind a tier, because there are no tiers.
When you get paid
Never more than 3% — often less.
Applied to dues, event registrations, and donations you collect through the platform. Three percent is the ceiling, not a starting point.
If you earn nothing
A quiet quarter costs you nothing.
No revenue means no invoice. Run a free club for a year and never pay us a cent — the account stays open and the data stays yours.
The things every director asks us first
If yours isn't here, a real person answers in about 40 minutes during business hours.
We're moving off Wild Apricot / MemberClicks. How hard is that?
It's the most common thing we do. Send us your export and we map every field, including custom ones, then load it into a staging environment you review before go-live. Stripe subscriptions transfer without asking members to re-enter cards.
Do members need to create new accounts?
They set a password once, from an invitation email you send when you're ready. Everything else — their history, payment method, renewal date — is already waiting for them.
Can we keep our current website?
Yes. Member Commander runs as widgets you embed in WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, or plain HTML. If you'd rather replace the site, the hosted builder is included at no extra cost.
What kind of support do we get?
Real humans, by email, chat, and phone — on every account, including the ones that have never paid us anything. Median first response in 2026 is 42 minutes during business hours.
Is our member data secure?
SOC 2 Type II audited, encrypted at rest and in transit, with role-based permissions, audit logs, daily backups, and GDPR/CCPA export and erasure tooling built in.
What if we have chapters or affiliates?
Chapters get their own admins, events, email, and directories with scoped permissions, while national sees a consolidated roll-up. Dues revenue can split automatically between national and chapter accounts.
Take command of your membership
Create an account with every feature unlocked, import your members, and send a real renewal. There is no card to enter and no trial to run out — you pay only when the money comes in.
No credit card · Free migration · Never more than 3% when you get paid
